Sport: Enyeama norminated for BBC

Super Eagles Captain, Vincent Enyeama is among the five nominees for BBC'S African Footballer of the year award. Enyeama is norminated alongside with  Yaya Toure, Pierre Emerick Aubame Yang,Yacine Brahime and Gervinho.

While the season has not seen the best of starts for Nigeria's number one stopper, last of the season was one of his best in Europe.He kept 21 clean sheets for his French Club Lille and was one also instrumental in Nigeria reaching the last 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The winner willbe decided by votes for soccer fans, with voting closing on November 24. The winner willbe announced on Decemember 1.

Steps to becoming the best you can be

I am sure you are convinced that what a man can do, a woman can do better, but not everything that a man can do that a woman can do. But it won't happen without you making up your mind to become the best you can.

Success comes with a price tag and those who are ready to pay the price can enjoy the rise. Success is not automatic while failure is also not automatic. The only thing is that your input determine your output.

All the people you have seen at the top of the laddar of success perspire to acquire their desire which they admire. They never retire but re-fire untill they become the best. The fact is that the moment you stop to aspire, you begin to expire. For you to become the best you can be, you must be principled.

You need to have a clear vision of what you want to become.Note that you are not too young and too old to become what you want to be. Be deligent and determined. I assure you that you will also be at the top of the ladder of success very soon.

Nigerians: Embattled Tambuwal said "Nobody could impreach him as Speaker"

The embattled speaker Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Saturday formally announced that his fate as the speaker is in the hand of God. He said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party could not impreach him as Speaker.

At the meeting of the North West Zonal Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress held in Kaduna, Tambuwal stated that only God and his mates could remove him from office. In the closed-door meeting were the former Head Of State and the presidential aspirant, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd); Deputy Governor of Kano State, Abudullahi Ganduje; APC Vice Chairman (North-West), Inuwa Abudulkadir, among others.

However, Buhari described Tambuwal's defection from PDP to the APC as a good omen to the party and the country. He said  with free and fair election, the APC would triumph  in the 2015 general election.

I am sure we are convinced that what a man can do ,woman can do better. This quote is now a rampant issue in Nigeria governance.Many women have declared their intention to contest for 2015 governorship election in their respective states.

The women promised to provide impactful governance for the people if elected governors. These female aspirants have held consultations with relevant stakeholders as one of the major steps to realize their ambition.

They seems to have rejected the old way in which women are alloted as deputy governorship position in the country. Among the women are Lady Virgy Etiaba, Mrs Pauline Tallen, Mrs Kofoworala Bucknor-Akerele. These women mentioned previously had attempted in their respective states in the past, but lost the election to their male-counterparts.
