Nigerians: Embattled Tambuwal said "Nobody could impreach him as Speaker"

The embattled speaker Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Saturday formally announced that his fate as the speaker is in the hand of God. He said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party could not impreach him as Speaker.

At the meeting of the North West Zonal Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress held in Kaduna, Tambuwal stated that only God and his mates could remove him from office. In the closed-door meeting were the former Head Of State and the presidential aspirant, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd); Deputy Governor of Kano State, Abudullahi Ganduje; APC Vice Chairman (North-West), Inuwa Abudulkadir, among others.

However, Buhari described Tambuwal's defection from PDP to the APC as a good omen to the party and the country. He said  with free and fair election, the APC would triumph  in the 2015 general election.
